Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Dakota Fanning will be assuming the role of Jane in New Moon!
This has been confirmed by an email sent directly from Summit Entertainment which states:
Acclaimed actress Dakota Fanning has officially joined the cast, and will play fan favorite Jane in The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

i agree she is not at all like jane if you read a description of jane its no where near the description of dakota.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!WTF!? Wat was summit thinking???!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously Jane is suppose to be beautiful!!!!!!! That is totaly not even close to Dakota’s description.Seriously!!!! Not to be mean or nethiing but Summit needs to get sum eye check-up ova there!!!
