OK everyone. I’ve been asked to be a part of a Twilight Movie Debate from examiner.com. There will be two teams with 3 debaters on each side. Team “Loved It” and Team “Disappointed”. Of course I”m on Team “Loved It”.
I’m sure there will be a lot of passionate debaters as you all know how us Twilight Maniacs can get!
Anyway, I will keep you posted on the debate as the news comes in!
The book examiner had a hard time finding people for the “Disappointed” side, so if you know anyone, here is the link. I’m not sure if the position has been filled or not. Click Here
This is going to be fun! Stay tuned.

From IMDB
- Kristen Stewart has naturally green eyes. She wears brown contacts for filming because Bella is supposed to have brown eyes.
- Kellan Lutz intended on keeping his natural curly hair for the role of Emmett Cullen. However, his previous role in “Generation Kill” (2008) required a buzz cut and his hair didn’t grow fast enough for the filming of Twilight (2008/I).
- Henry Cavill was Stephenie Meyer’s first choice to play Edward. However, but by the time production was to begin, he was 25 years old, and no longer looked the part of a 17-year old. He was then offered the part of Carlisle Cullen but turned it down due to his commitment with “The Tudors” (2007).
- For the role of Edward Cullen, Robert Pattinson flew from England to director Catherine Hardwicke’s house to audition. There, he and Kristen Stewart, who was already cast as Bella Swan, rehearsed the “Love Scene”/”Meadow Scene” on Hardwicke’s own bed.
- All of the actors playing the Cullens wear topaz-colored contacts.
- Taylor Lautner had to wear a wig for his role as Jacob Black.
- Over 5,000 actors auditioned for the role of Edward.

From IMDB
- Crew or equipment visible: From the trailer: in the first shot of Bella walking to her truck, equipment is clearly visible in the right corner.
- Continuity: In the biology scene where Edward begins to talk to Bella again, the stuffed armadillo that was on the shelf behind Edward is missing. A few moments later, the armadillo is back in its spot.
- Miscellaneous: In the scene with Edward and Bella talking in the cafeteria (when she drops the apple and he catches it) it is apparent that he has pit stains. Vampires don’t sweat, or omit any other kind of bodily fluids.
- Errors in geography: As Edward is driving away from the street thugs, you can see his car clearly has Oregon license plates. If you miss the name, Washington state standard plates have Mt. Rainier on them, while Oregon standard plates have an evergreen tree in the middle.
- Continuity: When Edward is up in the tree looking down at Bella, the distance his body is from hers changes between shots. In the close-up shot, his face is almost right in front of hers (below the branches), but from the normal shot, he’s holding himself much higher up (above the branches).
- Plot holes: Throughout the movie you can see the vampire’s breath. This should not be able to happen as they are so cold.
- Continuity: When Alice pitched to Edward in the baseball scene, the runner is running from second base before she even throws the ball. Then after Edward hits the ball, the runner is seen again just leaving second base.
- Continuity: While Bella is in the hospital (for the second time) it shows the first shot of her eyes and nose. She has oxygen tubes running to her nose. The tubes are over top of her eyes, but when the camera zooms out the tubes are nowhere near her eyes. Then it zooms back in and the tubes are at her eyes again, and so on.
- Revealing mistakes: In the meadow scene, only Edward’s face is glowing. Parts of his chest and neck are also in the sunlight, but fail to sparkle as they should.

Personally, I like the shorter hair cut.

Fans can now debate online whether Pattinson is dreamier with short or long hair, just as they continue to wrestle over whether they love or hate the film they’d imagined in their heads for so long.
What do you think?

I love the audio books!

Before Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart claimed the role of Bella Swan on the big screen, Ilyana Kadushin was the voice of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling “Twilight” book series.
The reader for the audiobook version of the hit vampire saga, the former Salisbury resident stepped into the shoes of 17-year-old Swan after she moves from her mother’s home in Phoenix to “cold and damp” Forks, Wash., to live with her father. Swan’s initial state of depression in a new town soon fades after she is introduced to Edward Cullen, who is a real “blood-sucking vampire.”

Attention Twilighters: All major actors from the megahit vampire flick have signed on for the 2010 sequel New Moon and the Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke is getting ready for the next film.
The pending sequel, which centers on mortal heroine Bella (Kristen Stewart) and werewolf Jacob’s (Taylor Lautner) growing friendship, has many fans worried whether fan favorite Lautner will be prepared to step into his enormous werewolf shoes.
“I’ve got this to say about Taylor. He told me the other day that he had gained 14 pounds since I last saw him,” Hardwicke told USA Today. “He’s only 16. I think he’s chanting to make himself grow.”

When Stephenie Meyer got her first glimpse of the film manifestation of Twilight the movie, she said
“While watching the playback from a very intense scene with Bella and Edward, the girl next to me literally slid right out of her chair. I think her bones melted. She may have stopped breathing for a few seconds…I know I did.”
But, after getting a chance this weekend to see Twilight for themselves, did Twi-hards feel the same?
Yes…and no.
Over 300 Twi-hards responded on the Book Examiner site this weekend with their own take on the most anticipated bookish movie of the year (read their comments and reviews at Twilight movie reviews: Read what the fans are saying and Twilight movie review: What worked, what failed miserably, and how the book measures up to the movie). And let me just say, it’s obvious already that the debate over this movie is going to rage on within the Twilight fan community for quite some time: the reaction seems to be equally split between people who thought the movie was fantastic and people who want to bash someone’s head in for mutiliating the book.
The comments span from…
