Twilight, Twi-bright, first vamp I see tonight: I’m not sure the world is prepared for how huge “Twilight” is going to be, at least if Internet activity is any sort of predictor of movie box-office grosses.
In case you haven’t heard, TWILIGHT is set to be released Nov. 21, 2008, oh but the buzz has been around for a while already. Tons of fansites have been created. The movie trailer was one of the most viewed in iFmagazine’s history.

Last month, my Times colleague Gina McIntyre got to interview several of the vampires from “Twilight” for a story on the upcoming film. Of course, much of her lengthy conversation with Robert Pattinson, Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz didn’t make the final version. (That story hits stands Sunday, but I’ll be posting it early Friday just for you guys. Call it “Twilight” at 9 a.m. Don’t forget!)
With 17 million copies of Stephenie Meyer’s young-adult best-seller “Twilight” sold worldwide, and having been translated into 20 languages, you might wonder why a forthcoming film adaptation would require any marketing at all.
